Founded in 1996, Windswept Capital is a Seattle-based investment banking firm focused exclusively on mergers, acquisitions, financial recapitalizations, and advisory services for middle market companies located in the Pacific Northwest. The principals of Windswept believe that companies with revenues of $10 million to $200 million – typically defined as the “middle market” – are best served by advisors who work as a team in the investment banking process. Windswept seeks to emphasize teamwork in order to provide a high degree of customer service and professionalism throughout the course of every assignment.

Windswept’s operating philosophy centers on a group of highly experienced professionals who work together to achieve superior results. Senior members of the firm have been top operating executives, have successfully concluded leveraged and management buy-outs, numerous bank financings and equity placements, as well as mergers and acquisitions. They have played major roles in funding Northwest companies, have served on their Boards, and have executed numerous consolidations and exit strategies. Windswept has completed merger, acquisition, and recapitalization transactions with values ranging from $5 million to $150 million. The transactions span a broad range of industries, from consumer products retail, manufacturing, financial services, and wholesale distribution to companies providing software and sophisticated technology and specialized systems.

In November 2007, Windswept was acquired and has become the investment banking arm of Aequitas Capital Management. Based in Lake Oswego, Aequitas is a provider of capital – both debt and equity – to companies with revenue of $200 million or less. The combination with Aequitas allows the Windswept team to offer a unique range of services, including growth capital and investment management, to its client base.
